Meditation on Luke 4:4

And Jesus answered him, saying, it is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. (Luke 4:4)

Conscious decisions which go against my emotions may be a sign that I am approaching Truth. When I formerly had feelings things didn't seem correct, when I had heartbreak in my life, perhaps it was because I was so ingrained in the ideas and concepts presented to me by universal belief that I couldn't recognize why the breaking apart from particular individuals was indeed the correct path. I was not familiar with the fact that God is my own consciousness and that I must turn within for guidance. I was relying on yesterday's manna, upon patterns which I had outgrown, but which I could not manifest fully in the form of new paths because of my clinging to fear and self doubt. Yes, the animalistic, human feelings will always bind me to positions I have long outgrown, but it is a legitimate decision to consiously receive God's word, in silence and in sacredness that I might give up my desires and will in order for enlightenment (My True God Self) to dawn in me. Bread will always be a concept of need (along w/companionship) until I turn within and allow My True Self to speak and live my life.
