Infinite Way Study Practice
January-March 2005

The following study practice is designed for those students who already have at least some background with Joel Goldsmith's Infinite Way teaching. My first recommendation would be that you go to the source text or tape where these messages are presented and listen to the original instruction.

Adapted From Joel Goldsmith's 1956 First Steinway Practitioner Class -
Above and Beyond Thought or Thing - Master #142 - Tape 3 - Side 1

To continue in our practice of 'right identification' we turn again to the following quotation from the Master Christ Jesus, "Call no man on earth your father, for one is your father which art in heaven." And in this study practice we will go deeper into the mystical Truth of this statement by furthering our study regarding the Infinite Way teaching of 'the nature of error'.

For this study practice we have been given the gift of the tape transcript excerpts from Joel Goldsmith's 1956 First Steinway Practitioner Class lecture entitled "Above and Beyond Thought or Thing". Please read excerpts Part 1 and Part 2 presented on this web site.

In my own studying of spiritual teaching I have found very little that comes close to delving into the absolute truth of 'the nature of error' the way that it is presented in The Infinite Way teaching. This is part of what separates Joel Goldsmith's presentation from other mystical writers. Joel often spoke about how this part of his teaching was not sought after by most students because it often sets up a conflict with students regarding their own conditioning and sense of what is real. An internal battle often sets off an unconscious rejection of the 'nature of error' teaching because this teaching tends toward tearing down the false sense of self which we have all spent our lives trying to build up.

Read the transcripts presented here carefully and pay particular attention to the passages which direct you to the correct understanding of the word "I". You may wish to also go back and forth between studying these transcripts and simulteneously going back to the companion study practice presented here which covers Chapter 14 - Ye Are the Children of Your Father from Joel Goldsmith's "The Thunder of Silence".

Be prepared to give several contemplative meditations to this work for several days in a row. Then maybe take a few days off and come back to it again. What we are doing here is not trying to change anything about ourselves. We are simply taking a gentle approach to reconditioning our conscious awareness of the correct identification of who we really are ... and in doing this we are never losing anything as it may seem to appear in the beginning stages. We are actually gaining EVERYTHING about ourselves that we could ever wish to know. And in this realization are we truly set free to live, love, and prosper in all-ways!

Now...let it be.

ps - feel free to make contact if you are so moved to share any of your own individual unfoldments regarding this study practice or other Infinite Way realizations.
