Infinite Way Study Practice
April-June 2006

The following study practice is designed for those students who already have at least some background with Joel Goldsmith's Infinite Way teaching. My first recommendation would be that you go to the source text or tape where these messages are presented and listen to the original instruction.

Adapted From Joel Goldsmith's
"Spiritual Interpretation of Scripture" - Chapter - Treatment

"No one has a personal message. There is no such thing as a messenger of God. God is His own messenger and He appears to human consciousness at that moment's demonstration. He has appeared as many great thinkers and always in the way that you, as a human person, can comprehend.

"Every one of us, whether in the business or professional world or any of the arts is trusted with a doctrine not our own. Originality of ideas is not ours; it is God, individual Mind. There is a fullness and completeness awaiting each person. We are here as the presence of God, fulfilling God's destiny. Every one is an individualization of the infinity of God."

"Spiritual Interpretation of Scripture" - Chapter: Treatment

In our companion lesson to this study practice we were shown that the Infinite Way is not something that we are going to be able to quote, regurgitate, and then believe we have accomplished something significant. This study practice helps to reinforce why this is true.

In Joel Goldsmith's Treatment chapter from "Spiritual Interpretation of Scripture" it is stated right up front that this teaching is not about Joel and us. It is about God and God alone. The minute we come down from this high estate of consciousness and try to capture or organize the materials from the human perspective of people, time, and space we are immediately cutting ourselves off from the very experience we inwardly desire and which brought us here in the first place. The human mind has always tried to set up particular individuals as spiritual and particular places as Holy. That is in keeping with the way the human mind goes about codifying life to fit into, or live up to, the expectations which it has previously accepted as reality.

In the Treatment chapter we learn that the relationship between spiritual healing and ourselves is one in which a revelation of our true identity is that which we call healing. Healing, therefore, might also be called reality or it might be referred to as that which is. Regardless how we came to learn of the word 'treatment' let us now take a bolder step into the Great Unknown. To take this step will require putting down our sword to appearances, ceasing from man whose breath is in his nostrils, and most of all remembering that the Kingdom of God is within you.

Be clear that when Joel says this teaching is coming to all of us in a way that we can comprehend he is not trying to encourage us as if we were a bunch of students that just needed to think a little harder. He is reminding us that the comprehension has already taken place and it is already functioning within us right now. Anything less than that would be a denial of God and therefore a denial of ourselves. If this comprehension were not functioning right here and now, we would not be here, here and now, acknowledging all that we are.

And . . . . we are.

Now be still. Take this to heart. And be done with it.
